When people catch me off guard in the morning at work with weight questions. "How do you stay so thin?"Gah it’s too early for this. I said it was the coffee, now buy some, tip me and let me distract myself with manual labor.

Nicki Minaj’s reason behind the “Anaconda” music video

Ok I like this song and even he well meaning to empower curvy bodies…but

" Fuck the skinny bitches
fuck the skinny bitches in the club. I wanna see all the big fat ass bitches in the motherfucking club. Fuck you if you skinny bitches WHAT?”

Why does it have to put down skinny bodies to empower curvy bodies?

In “it’s all about the bass” it also is similar.

" I’m bringing booty back. Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches that"

Yeah it may be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think it’s Necessary to put down skinny people to build up curvy people.

the thing is is that i kind find a billion songs in which curvier bodies are put down, you look in magazines and what do you see? mostly skinny girls. you see them on billboards, you see skinny girls being glorified everywhere.

catching feelings about someone making a song to make the other women feel good about the bodies that aren’t plastered everywhere seems ridiculous.

Sorry my opinion is dumb… it’s not like I am putting the song or artist down though. It doesn’t bother me that much (I actually like this song), I just noticed that about the lyrics. Imo it’s not cool, and again its the same with any body type. Idk how that’s dumb to think anyone putting people down because of their body though…

See, you say you think it’s wrong that there are songs that put certain body types down, but I haven’t heard you say that songs that put bigger body types down are wrong when those songs come out. You chose to start this conversation when a song with a different message came out. The other person who commented already said what I’m about to say. Your body type is already represented everywhere. Movies, television, magazines, practically every advertisement… I could go on.

The constant shaming of larger bodies in my opinion is worse than the occasional “skinny bitch” line. It doesn’t affect people in the same way. What is “fuck the skinny bitches” really going to do to you besides make you feel uncomfortable for the duration of the song? From every direction there’s another message constantly being thrown at larger bodies. I think you already know what that message is.

If that’s not enough, my own ED was partially rooted in what skinny represented to me. There are so many things associated with being thin, being successful, attractive, intelligent, more interesting, more deserving, while larger bodies signify laziness, a lack of control, and greediness. Know where those messages came from? Various forms of media.

It’s completely different and shaming larger bodies is far more dangerous.

I said that any body shaming is bad. My issue was one body type being put down to lift another. That is not necessary. It doesn’t matter if thin bodies are represented everywhere. I can’t support degrading one body type in light of another. I am not all that into music, but if I saw a song putting down curvy bodies, and/or putting curvy bodies down in light of thin ones, I’d have the same opinion.

I got the impression that you think both are equal. And yeah, I agree, body shaming is not cool. But I find it interesting that as you expose pro ana blogs, you don’t call out fat shaming. The girls who promote these illnesses as a lifestyle to aspire to also fat shame in their posts all the time. It keeps them going and encourages others, but you haven’t said anything about that in the time that I’ve followed you.

I saw this post and it reminded me of what we were talking about.

I would say something if I see it while dealing with pro ana post. I haven’t come across any on my own , though I know it happens and have seen other apac members point it out in posts. Why wouldn’t I say something if I saw it?

#Ana #AnaTip

this is such bullshit oh my god

Extra pro tip: don’t encourage others to engage in dangerous behaviors, like starvation, because your blog will be reported and you could seriously hurt someone. Don’t follow that encouragement yourself because it won’t make you thin, it will make you sick and possibly trigger an actual eating disorder you can’t stop when drop a dress size.

I made a homemade mango frozen yogurt :) (101 calories)

this is promotion and romanticization of eating disorders and its actually sickening.

Also why post that picture. You made something to drink, and it has nothing to do with that fact really.
